Caroline Mckenzie is an internationally acclaimed equine artist who offers an ever increasing range of stunning Limited Edition Equine Art Prints and Original Equine Art.
Caroline McKenzie’s lifetime passion for horses, and other animals, is portrayed in her drawings and paintings. She works to capture, not only the effortless grace of this noble animal, but its spirit; the mood, emotions it expresses, and both its gentleness and explosive energy. Due to her ability to capture the true essence of character, she has also been commissioned to paint horse and rider as well and a variety of pets.
Due to her success she is now undertaking commissions for a range of portraits including those of children.
Caroline has had a long career in the Fine Arts, and has built an artistic reputation which she continues to develop. She was trained at Camberwell School of Art and studies under a variety of well-known contemporary artists. Caroline is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, has a BA(Hons) in Fine Art and a Ph.D. She is also a Member of the Society of Equestrian Artists.
Based in Northamptonshire, England, Caroline is surrounded by her families’ three dogs, two cats and most importantly two horses. She is often found at the stables sketching her daughters’ horses, or any other animal that is happy to pose. Having been riding and involved with horses for over 30 years Caroline is never short of inspiration for her paintings, and it is this long established relationship that is so beautifully reflected in her paintings.
